So, my Defiler is increasing in lvl, and I really enjoy playing him, so I'm considering him to be my Aproved alt very soon Smile

Only, I have some questions about my AA's, if some of you ubar Deflers could give me some help, maybe some pics ? Smile

I'm looking for a Healing stance for a non raid geared Defiler, he is my alt, and will continue to be, so raid gear is prolly not gonna be much of an option..

dps stance wont be needed, cause I wont be soloing with him anyways, he will pretty much only be used to heal in instances Smile

Thanks in advance for your help and info.

Guild Officer
Hi gang, this is the first of a couple of posts specifically for our raid healers. This one is aimed at updating you all on some questions and requests I posed at yesterday’s officer meeting.

Firstly, we have probably the best healing core that we have ever had in the guild and this was recognised and commented on at the meeting - well done all! We tend to quietly get on with our job and our early efforts in TSO are not really requiring any substantial flexing of our healing muscles, at least so far. This is probably a testament to how good we are doing, rather than the mobs being particularly gimp.

The first update, to make you all aware of, is that I will now be editing Daurbors raid sign up post to include two additional bits of information. One will be the location of each healer in the raid setup. This will, of course, be subject to Daurbor's final say depending on the final turnout, but we will try to get this right as often as possible. The second will be information as to the type of raid this will be so that healers have an idea of whether to select a healing or dps build. I will try to get this listed on the afternoon before a raid starts to give you all time to get sorted. If we need to change the stance mid raid I will arrange it with DB so let me know if you are having problems during a raid ASAP.

That brings me neatly to the second change. You may have noticed that I have been testing out Heldark’s ability to dps whilst healing from the MT group in recent raids. There has been a good reason for this! We currently run with at least 7 healers that are all capable of at least 2k dps, in addition to their healing jobs. This means we could add at least another 14k to our raidwide (and I suspect a lot more once we get the hang of it!). This is a bit of an unusual situation for those of us brought up on the ideology of old EQ where healers sat and healed and got their arses kicked if they did anything other than that. Making sure we have the right balance of gear and aa’s, to make sure we can still heal effectively whilst outputting some decent dps numbers, will be a new challenge for us all over the coming months. To facilitate this, the officers have agreed that we can now bid on any equipable upgrade loot that drops in a raid. This will ensure that we can build our normal healing spec along with some dps flexibility built in. However, this will stretch our dkp quite thinly, so be sure that you really need an item before you bid!

To help us all learn how to dps I will get a separate thread going on this forum. Those of us that are already doing this can drop some hints and tips. From what I have seen learning the mechanics of melee v spell damage is the biggest confusion, but we can get into that in a different thread.

Please feel free to post any comments below, it all helps.

The Lost Order

Welcome to The Lost Order, a casual raiding guild on the EQ2 Splitpaw server. TLO is a Euro based guild that aims to raid at a competent level whilst maintaing a fun, friendly, casual guild environment. The history of the guild is longer than first appears. Whilst the guild was formed in April 2008, it is an offshoot of the family guild Faydark Knights, and much of the membership have been together for many years. Since then the guild has gone from strength to strength, picking up mythical weapons by the end of 2008 and hitting the current maximum of guild level 90. We have enjoyed a succesful start to Sentinel's Fate and our recruitment remains open to bolster guild groups and facilitate our raid ambitions throughout this expansion.

Enjoy your time with us!

TLO recruitment

General Recruitment: Open, suitable for casual through to hard core players, preferably L50+. We do accept lower level members that demonstrate a particular interest in joining us, however, we do not specifically cater for new players.

Raiding Recruitment (level 90 required):

Troubadour

Even if your class is not on this list and you are interested in joining TLO please contact an officer to discuss future raid openings.

Guild Life

The guild is at the maximum level cap of 90 and we own and run a guildhall in Freeport. You can purchase the access portals from all city brokers and a call to guild is obtainable from the guild hall on your first visit. The guildhall is the hub of guild activity with numerous facilities including a dedicated crafting suite and portals to every world zone available.

Guild members are encouraged to form guild groups and to provide help to other guild members. The old adage 'you rub my back and I will rub yours' applies here. The guild has many high level crafters that are more than happy to provide goods and services, usually at no cost.

Levelling is fun and we encourage members to relax and enjoy the game, however, if you do wish to speed up to see higher level content ask for advice from members. There are a number of legitimate ways to max your xp gain and players are often more than willing to help. Note that we do not endorse power levelling facilities, plat farmers or buying plat - any such activity will result in deguilding.

Guild members are mostly adults and as such we do not moderate guild chat or these forums. As adults, you are expected to sort any problems yourself. If things become too serious please speak to an officer before doing anything drastic. Sometimes a calming chat can sort things easily.

Forums

The forums provide a means to communicate outside the game so that groups, raids and adventures can be arranged. Crafting forums list all our crafters that are willing to provide help to any guild member. Players that register on the forums will have limited access untill they join the guild and are given full access rights. Both recruits and members are eligible for full access, however, sometimes new members can be missed. Please send a pm to Helraiser if you cannot access the full list of forums immediately after you join.

Raiding

TLO has enjoyed a sucessful raiding history, working though Tiers 5-8 with a high level of success. Our guild members have enjoyed gaining their prismatic and mythical weapons during the relevant expansions, as well as the opportunity to access progression zones such as deathtoll and veeshan's peak.

Raids are not mandatory unless you wish to be a recognised raid member, in which case you must expect to maintain an attendance of at least 70% for our 3 nights a week raiding schedule to hold a guaranteed raiding spot. Players that drop below this attendance level lose an automatic slot but can continue to sign up as a casual raider.

The guild operates a class sign up raid policy to ensure we get the right mix of toons for a raid. The raid leaders make the final decsions on whom attends a raid based on the success chance for that raid. Players are encouraged to co-operate with signing up and attendance to further the progress of the guild. We never kill a mob just once so you will get your chance if you have to sit out!

The guild formally raids 3 days a week whilst additional, informal raids are regularly scheduled by members to complete x2 content, older content, for fun or for back flagging certain zones. During official raids loot is distributed by DKP and all raiders must be able to hear ventrilo commands from the raid leaders. A full list of raid guidelines are available on the Raid forums. We expect folks to come along and enjoy raiding but be prepared to concentrate and focus on the goal.

Officers

All guild officers hold the rank of guild leader to avoid any question of the guild falling under the control of a single player. However, the official guild leader is Daurbor. If you have any problems in guild please contact an officer. A full list of guild rules are available on the Guild Rules forum.

Current Officers:

Guild Leader - Daurbor
Officers - Noleva, Oono, Hedeon, Helraiser, Snusan

Officers primary job is to ensure members are catered for. Please talk to them if you have any concerns - they are here to represent you. They are not here to rule the roost, simply to facilitate the guild functions. If you have any problems please let us know - we meet on a semi-regular basis and any issues can be brought up at these meetings.

How do I join?

Please feel free to contact any officer or member at any time to ask questions about the guild. This is often the best way to break the ice and ask the relevant questions. If you decide to proceed, an official request for membership is made by posting an application form on the website. A sample application form is posted in this forum.

All applicants that are accepted into TLO are required to undergo a short trial period, lasting usually 2 weeks, during which you will have recruit status. This will give you a chance to see if the guild suits you and fits with your ambitions. It is also an opportunity for the officers to ensure that you fit in with the guild membership. Please make sure you have read the guild rules and understood them. Anyone found breaking these rules during their trial period will be removed from the guild. Assuming all is well, once you have finished your trial period you will be promoted to full member.

As reqested here is my AA spec

http://www.beetny.com/eq2aa/?i02i185a184a1@8aa@288@3212b5335 45555@1334552@233@1111@25@35121a@255@655@21@15@351@355@111

I currently have 219 AA and will be looking at adding the additional 31 in to Debuff line on Swashbuckler tree and increase any damage and critical multipliers on the shadows tree.

On the Rogue Tree you want to get Dance of Metal as soon as possible as this works out as about 7% of my dps overall.

Hope that helps

This is just for the final run of things.
I'm not sure it would work on everything.
But if you give a short feedback on what resources you need for the following.
I just thought it would make a nice summary and give a clear view of things. Instead of having different locations to gather the information. Well, you know what I mean.
This thread is just to make things nice and simple.

I've had a couple of peeps talk to me recently about dps and how to improove it, right now I dont have time to write up a huge long post but I thought I would flag up some of the important things to work on and also put up a link to a couple of threads on flames that are must reads.

There are a large number of stats that will improove your dps, whilst getting them all up is a challenge there are easy and obvious ones to work on first:

Int - aim for 900+, in a raid you should be running 1.1k or higher

Spell Crit - self buffed you should be hitting 70%+. With all the spell crit around there is no issue getting to 60% and with a bit of effort getting higher is not too hard.

Spell mod - for chanters this is pretty easy to cap, depending on your base damage buffs you should be looking for 650-900 - again this is on alot of ROK gear and pretty easy to get

Base Damage increase - this is much harder to buff but give much greater dps rewards too. Appart from the chanter AA line that gives a permanent 15% boost there are now several items that will proc a base damage boost e.g. whitedragonscale cloak, dailmail gauntlets, dark orb of the mind, and the bloodthirsty choker. Get as much of this as you can - the dps boost is huge.

Spell reuse - hard to get but with chrono every mage should sit a 10% reuse, the class legs from vp give another 10% and coercer mythical gives 5% so really aim to get this to 15% minimum.

spell cast haste - playing a coercer is like whack a mole - every chanter should have specced down the cast haste line and therefore in raids should be running 100% casting haste, you should never not have a spell to cast Smile

spell crit bonus - boosts the amount your spell hits when it crits, difficult to find but good when you can - mainly drops in the harder ROK instances/raid zones

Proc gear - since we cast so fast and so often proc gear is good. Items like the preators guard, symobl from crucible, TSO signature reward etc are excellent. In addition any gear with greater void bane is awsome in ROK raids and really any bane gear at all is useful to wear provided you dont sacrifice too much spell crit etc for it.

Coercer dps guide linky - http://www.eq2flames.com/coercers/21910-frequently-asked-coe rcer-questions-facq.html - one of the best guides I have ever seen, there is alot of info in here but it is well worth reading through.

Given that you work on these stats the dps I would be expecting to see from our chanters is in the 3-6k range for coercers and the 4-8k range for ill. Whilst these numbers may look high they are very achievable with a bit of effort in choosing your gear and AA choices.

Queries & Complaints Guidelines

With the guild expanding rapidly thanks to the good work put in by all members we have had to rethink our complaints and queries procedures. We rarely get complaints in TLO, but we do get a lot of queries, most of which are friendly and understandable. However, with our increasing numbers, it does mean that officers can spend a significant amount of time every evening dealing with these issues before they even get a chance to play the game.

To help spread the load we have agreed to the following:

'All queries, issues and complaints should be directed to an officer. They will attempt to explain or resolve the query at this stage. You will be asked if you are happy with the explanation. If you are unhappy you can ask for the issue to be escalated to a full officer meeting. A decision will then be made by the officers with a final ruling by the guild leader (Daurbor). This decision will be final and additions to guild rules will be made, if necessary, to accommodate the decision.'

The guild has very few rules and we really don’t want to be adding in new ones for every minor issue that comes up. Please think carefully before you make a complaint, is it that important? With 65 unique accounts, even if members complain only once a year, we have 5 complaints to deal with every month.

We want this to be a relaxed and fun guild and, most of the time, it is. Please remember that every decision is made for the benefit of the guild as a whole. Hopefully we get more right than wrong Smile .

Guildrules for The Lost Order

This is the rules for The Lost Order, they are to be read, accepted and understood by all members of the guild.

General Rules

§1 The Lost Order strive to be a social guild that cater to all types of gamestyle. From Raiding to Crafting, from soloing to groupplay. Main focus is and always will be to have fun!

§2 If members or recruits are found breaking the rules listed below, officers reserve the right to remove said person from guild. With or without warnings, at the officers discretion.

§3 All members of The Lost Order are to treat guildmembers and non-guildmembers in such a way that no shadow falls on the guild.

§4 Members should strive to keep the guildchat as clean as possible from foul language. Some words will not be tolerated at all, use common sense and all will be fine.

§5 Members are allowed to keep alts in other guilds if they so please, as long as the "main" character of the player is in TLO.

§6 Buying gold/powerlevel services is strictly forbidden, and will lead to guildremoval if discovered.

§7 Disputes between members should never escalate to flames in the guildchat or the forum. Members are encouraged to sort it between themselves in tells. If they feel they need it, contact an officer to mediate.

Forum Rules

§8 When posting on the webforum make sure you follow the agreement you accepted when registered.

§9 No pictures containing NSFW (not safe for work) may be posted directly into any topics. Even if they contain a funny joke. Some of us browse this from work, and its not fun to get nudity or other disturbing pictures thrown up on the screen.

Raiding Rules

§10 Its up to the raidleader to decide how the raid is filled.

§11 During raid, you are to follow directions given, we always strive to have fun, but dont let it affect the success chanses of the raid.

§12 Avoid going to pickup raids in the zone you know we are currently raiding. We dont want people on lockout if we have to change target in the last minute.

Alts in and out of guild

§13 We do not have a limit of alts you are allowed to have in the guild, the only thing asked is that every alt is labeled in the guildwindow with what maintoon it belongs too.

§14 You are allowed to have alts in other guilds if you so choose, as long as your highest level and most used toon is in TLO, and there should never be any doubt on where the loyalty is.

Handling more then 24 people signed up for a raid

Over the last month our sign ups for raids have increased alot. We used to run with just under 3 groups in raids, but now we are getting more then 24 people signed up for raids. So I would like to bring to your attention how over-signups will be handled.

First and foremost I would like to bring to your attention to rule #10 in the guildrules (you have already read and accepted that).

It states It is up to the raidleader to decide how the raid is filled, it is not a first sign first served thing.

I will look at different things when I fill the raid.

Firstly and most important is the success chance of the raid. I will always fill the raid with characters that grants the best chance to succeed.

Secondly, I will look at previous raiding records, if someone has a raid attendancy of around 90% they will take spots before people with 25% etc.

Thirdly I look at what flags and updates people need, this may (but not guarantee) warrent them a spot infront of someone else.

All this is based on those who have signed up the raid up before the end of the signup period. Any person who has carried out this action, will almost always, get raid spots before random people showing up at raidtime or signing up after the signup has closed. (exceptions to this may happen, see above about success chanses)

This means that people sometimes people will have to sit out of raids for different reasons.

To show that I have noticed their willing to raid and the effort of being there on time, the following "rule" is being added to the guild rules:

If a person is asked to sit out on a raid and fills the criteria below, s/he will be awarded the same dkp as those in the raid.

1: Said person has signed up before the signup period has expired.
2: Said person is online and at the gather spot when the raid is scheduled to start.
3: Said person is willing to take a spot if someone has not showed up when the raid starts.

After the raid has zoned in, those who were there as backup or on the waiting list are free to do anything they wish and they will still be awarded the dkp
